He may be the former President of the United States, but Barack Obama says that he thinks that women are far better leaders than men are.

"Now women, I just want you to know; you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you're better than us [men]," he said at a private event in Singapore according to the BBC.

"I'm absolutely confident that for two years if every nation on earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board on just about everything, living standards, and outcomes," he continued.

An Obama says that he is done with politics:

"If you look at the world and look at the problems, it's usually old people, usually old men, not getting out of the way," he said. "It is important for political leaders to try and remind themselves that you are there to do a job, but you are not there for life, you are not there in order to prop up your own sense of self-importance or your own power."

Obama is yet to publicly endorse any of the Democratic nominees, although recent reports claim that he vowed to prevent Sen Bernie Sanders from becoming to Democratic nominee.

"He hasn't said that directly to me," an adviser said to Politico last month. "The only reason I'm hesitating at all is because, yeah, if Bernie were running away with it, I think maybe we would all have to say something. But I don't think that's likely. It's not happening."
