President Trump has been slammed after he brought the MyPillow CEO to his White House press conference and allowed him to speak.
Some are calling Mike Lindell, a major Republican donor's speech an infomercial.
"A friend of mine, Mike Lindell of MyPillow, boy, do you sell those pillows," Trump said of Lindell, before introducing asking him to speak during the press conference in the White House Rose Garden. "It's unbelievable what you do."
"God gave us grace on November 8, 2016, to change the course we were on," Lindell said. "God had been taken out of our schools and lives, a nation had turned its back on God. I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the word. Read our Bible and spend time with our families.
"With our great president, vice president and this administration and all the great people in this country praying daily, we will get through this and get back to a place that's stronger and safer than ever," Lindell continued.
"I did not know he was going to do that but he's a friend of mine. ... I do appreciate it," Trump said after Lindell's speech.
According to Politico, Lindell has told associates that Trump is encouraging him to run for governor of Minnesota in 2022, to "keep Minnesota red beyond."
Trump told him that "he really wants me to run," according to the source, who spoke with Lindell in late February soon after the MyPillow CEO's conversation with Trump in the White House.
