A white man from New Jersey has been arrested after police reportedly found a weapons cache of 17 guns, a grenade launcher, and a document called the "N*gger Owner's Manual."
Joseph Rubino, 57, of Lafayette Township, New Jersey, was involved in a car accident Jul. 24.
According to Buzzfeed, law enforcement officers spotted the firearms and ammunition while pulling Rubino from his vehicle to give him medical attention.
Following the crash, cops search Rubino's car and his home where they found six semiautomatic weapons; a stash of shotguns, rifles, "numerous silencers," and handguns; and a grenade launcher. They uncovered 3 kilograms of marijuana, 200 cannabis vape cartridges, and 70 grams of methamphetamine.
Rubino also had a box of white supremacist paraphernalia, including clothing and bumper stickers with the Nazi "SS" bolts symbol and an instruction manual for owning a slave.
Rubino, 57, was charged with possession of firearms by a felon, possession with intent to distribute meth and possession of firearms while drug trafficking, the office said.
Rubino's attorney, Daniel Marchese, told CNN that Rubino plans to plead not guilty at a hearing in federal court and denies that his client is racist.
"He is not a racist. He is not a white supremacist. He has no plot to terrorize New Jersey or the country," he said.
"I believe there are significant due process issues regarding the search and the seizure of the items that were found in his van and then also at his home in Lafayette, New Jersey, and I believe that those two process issues need to be vetted before we pass judgment."
